This updated iteration of the Scale RC SL introduces the Syncros Cable Integration System and SCOTT’s RideLoc 2 remote system. More winning additions are the SRAM XX1 Eagle AXS Drivetrain and Trickstuff Piccola Disc Brakes. You’ll also be able to up your data tracking game, thanks to the integrated power meter on the XX1 crankset.  

The Scale RC SL also now features  SCOTT’s adjustable headset. You can now adjust the head angle by 0.6 degrees slacker or steeper without cutting cables or bleeding brakes. 

The SL's buildout also features a Syncros carbon cockpit, making for a hardtail that is just itching to finish first. The Scale RC SL brings you racing inspired geometry, coupled with a straightforward and sharp design that provides the Scale RC line with its distinctive character and aggressive look. A bike that proudly flaunts its definitive characteristics, this rig is ready for just about anything.

To help achieve The Scale’s hardtail bliss, SCOTT utilized FEA  (Finite Element Analysis) software in order to map out an optimized carbon lay-up. With FEA, they simulated force on virtual models of the frame while incorporating all physical phenomena that exist in the real world. This intensive process yields an optimized surface area for the frame, a super light construction, and a compact frame without sacrificing the stiffness or durability. 

On a hardtail you want your frame to flex so as to provide a comfortable ride without giving up critical structural integrity. In their virtual modeling process SCOTT worked meticulously to create controlled flex in the seat-stays, seat-tube, and top-tube. The slight flex in zones related directly to comfort keeps you from fatiguing as easily as you would in other carbon frames with less optimized fiber arrangements.
