Little Cottonwood Canyon
Out of all of these must-ride routes, Little Cottonwood Canyon is perhaps the most must-ride route in the Salt Lake Valley. In the winter, you’ll find a ton of drivers going to Alta and Snowbird, but the summer reveals one of the best climbs in the Salt Lake area.
This climb features an ascent of 2500 feet over 7 miles, with an average grade of 9.2% and plenty of rolling terrain in between makes the climb seem easier on paper than it is. This makes it mirror the Alpe d’Huez climb in the Tour de France, just with fewer switchbacks. Take your time, and you'll be rewarded with truly beautiful scenery and a quick descent.
