The new SCOTT Genius has undergone a bold redesign, elevating this trail bike to new heights. With its 'any trail, any time' mantra, the Genius now features unique suspension elements, cutting-edge design, and top-tier geometry, ensuring it stands out in performance and style. The SCOTT Genius 940, in particular, showcases a raw aluminum frame under a clear coat, offering a striking, distinctive look that sets it apart from other trail bikes.
At the heart of the SCOTT Genius is its Integrated Suspension Technology, a sophisticated system that hides the rear shock within the frame. This innovative design not only protects the shock but also contributes to a lower center of gravity, enhancing the bike's stability and handling. Each Genius model includes a built-in sag indicator on the non-drive side of the rocker link, allowing for precise adjustments. The lower mounting position of the shock adds stiffness around the bottom bracket without any extra weight, significantly improving the bike's performance and durability.
Accessing the shock is simple, thanks to a downtube door that opens with the push of a button, which also serves as durable bottom bracket protection. The Genius series also features the TwinLoc suspension system, a three-position shock adjustment lever mounted on the handlebars. This lever simultaneously controls both the fork and shock, allowing you to adapt the bike’s character to the terrain. The wide-open setting is ideal for descending, while the middle 'traction' setting offers better pedal strike clearance, a more aggressive climbing position, and enhanced suspension efficiency. For dirt roads or smoother paths, you can switch the suspension to a full lockout. With these advanced features and incredible design, the SCOTT Genius 940 trail bike ensures an exceptional ride, whether you are tackling technical trails or enjoying a leisurely ride.
