Ernie's Best Builds: 2019 Scott Spark 900 Ultimate

Ernie the corgi is known around these parts for his discerning taste in bicycles. This year, we wanted to highlight some of his favorite bike builds. Link to the complete list found HERE. Day twelve of Ernie's Best Builds goes to the 2019 SCOTT Spark 900 Ultimate. This Spark Ultimate features SCOTT's highest-grade HMX carbon frame and swingarm, a Fox Factory 120mm suspension and Transfer Factory dropper seatpost, and an ultralight set of Syncros Silverton 1.0 TR carbon fiber wheels. Every year, we count down the days until the 2019 Spark Ultimate is unveiled, and then we count the days down again until the same bike arrives at our doorstep. Few bikes are as coveted in these parts, and even fewer bikes are as practical for our needs. 120mm suspension travel and 29er wheels are pretty much all anyone needs for where we like to ride, while SCOTT's TwinLoc suspension system makes the Spark perennially one of the best-climbing mountain bikes on the market.
