Our Commitment to Safely Supporting You: An Update

Our Commitment to Safely Supporting You: An Update

Written by Contender Bicycles, on March 03, 2021

Accommodating you all and making sure everyone has what they need during this time is of great priority to us. With the recent “Stay Home, Stay Safe” directive issued by the State of Utah and following the orders from Summit County and recommendations of Salt Lake City, we are making the following changes to safely continue to support you all. We need to ride our bikes more than ever, and as a bike shop in Salt Lake City we are here to help.

Starting in our Salt Lake City store, our service department will only be offering curbside dropoff and pickup of bikes needing service. We will continue with our current protocol of immediately wiping down all bikes coming in for service with disinfectant, as well as wiping down each bike upon its return to you. Our technicians always wear gloves while working on bikes, and work at their own stand, using their own tools, and are distanced a minimum of six feet apart from one another. We are also prepared to arrange home pickup or delivery of bicycles on a case-by-case basis, with the same safety protocol as our store.

The Salt Lake City showroom floor will be available by appointment only as we try to limit the number of people in the shop at one time. Please call by phone or email [email protected] to schedule an appointment. We anticipate that we can accommodate just about every request, even on short notice.

Our Park City store is closed until further notice.

Additionally, we have reduced our free shipping minimum offered through www.contendershop.com to orders over $50. During this time we also offer free delivery for orders over $25 within the bounds of Salt Lake City and the I-215 corridor. We are available by phone or email to help you build your orders and we can take payment either over the phone or by creating a specific online order for you to enter your credit card information.

We are sincerely grateful to you all. Thank you for your support and we ask that we can continue to earn your “stay at home” business as we try to flatten the curve. It is important to us, particularly during these turbulent times.

Contact us either by phone at 801.364.0344 during business hours or by email at [email protected] at any time with any questions. We hope to see you out on the trails and roads at a safe distance.
