The Patagonia Ultralight Black Hole Hip Pack is essentially a spacious extra pocket to add any fit as you need. We all agree, this little fanny pack packs a punch. Here’s what our staff are using it for and why they love it. 

Peter loves how lightweight and compact the pack is. It carries all the essentials when hiking, which for him is predominantly his wallet and keys. He also loves the sturdiness of the pack that belies the low weight of it. Ultralight doesn't mean ultra flimsy!

Ivan describes the Hip Pack succinctly, and only in a way that he can: "It's lit, it's a good time." For Ivan, it's the ideal way to carry Skittles, which explains exactly why it's a good time. The difference here is how Ivan uses it; rather than using the pack on it's hip, he sports his as a crossbody pack for extra style points. We're about that life.

Colby stashes his camera in his Ultralight Black Hole pack, which we're quite impressed with. He usually uses it on his commute to work, which despite it's small size, is just big enough to fit all the essentials. The best part? Not only are those essentials perhaps on-bike, but he wears these to concerts too. Truly all the essentials. 

As for me, Kate? I've had this fanny pack for a couple of years and I love how compact this bag is! I mainly use this for stashing my phone, multitool, and stacks on a ride. I also tend to grab it while running and walking my dog. It really is just like having a third hand to hold things. Extremely nifty. After using a fanny pack, it is hard to go back to a simple dual hand experience.
