Beautiful Bicycle - A Metallic Blue TIME Alpe d'Huez 01 Aktiv
TIME claims that the Alpe d'Huez is the lightest frame they've ever made, but we say that simply claiming that their latest road bike is lightweight does the bike a disservice. Simply put, the Alpe d'Huez is all about balance at the highest level. And for this lucky rider, the bike leaves nothing to be desired.
If you're not familiar with TIME, take a look at our Alpe d'Huez first look or our TIME brand page. The French company isn't especially well-known but they make some of the highest-quality frames in the world. Their carbon fiber is produced and weaved in-house to ensure their bikes meet the highest ride quality standards.
This TIME Alpe d'Huez 01 in particular is a purist's bike. Regardless of how you feel about the "rim brakes aren't dead" discourse or whether you prefer Dura-Ace mechanical to electronic shifting, there is no denying the appeal of this bike.
The Fulcrum Racing Zero Nite wheels might be the best rim brake wheels on the market, Dura-Ace shifts and brakes with a silky precision befitting the best drivetrain out of Japan, and TIME's handlebar and stem perfectly match the frame's carbon weave. It might be traditional, but it's the pinnacle of the best at our disposal.

Agreed, Andy. An heirloom for sure, and we’d bet this top-line mechanical drivetrain like this will be hard to find in the not-too-distant future.
The bike, as it stood, weighs in at just under 6.8 kilograms.

Stephanie,
I’ll drop you a message. These frames are hard to get right about now but we have a few leads with TIME.

How much is this bike? Is it new? I would need a size 56 or 58. Thank you!

What a beautiful bike. What does it weigh?
Mechanical Dura-Ace really is superb and still very much top line.
