TIME-less In Blue - A One-Off Cobalt Blue TIME ADHX 45
When an industry icon moves slightly outside their established realm (think: Porsche producing an SUV), we tend to expect big things. So it came as no surprise that when TIME Bicycles debuted the Alpe D’ Huez X (or ADHX) a while back, it was a stunner. But…. the gravel world is moving at a feverish pace in regards to technology and bike design, so by the time the ADHX arrived, its 35mm max tire clearance fell somewhat short of current expectations, with most gravel-focused frames accepting 42mm or larger rubber. The ADHX pans out as more of an outstanding endurance road bike than a hard-core gravel rig.
Not one to acquiesce to the status of “also ran”, TIME has course-corrected and launched the ADHX 45. As you may have guessed, this new offering will clear 45mm tires, bringing it well into the current standard of what we expect for a gravel setup. As you might have also guessed, the ADHX 45 is an absolute knockout! 
Since their inception in the late 1980’s, TIME has continually pushed the boundaries of technology, design and innovation. Their handmade frames are infused with technology and style, and still 100% designed and manufactured in Europe. The new ADHX 45 of course carries on this tradition and incorporates a slightly longer wheelbase than the ADHX, along with the increased tire clearance. Bio-Based Dyneema (celebrated as the World's Strongest Fiber) and TIME’s groundbreaking braided carbon structure (BCS) manufacturing technique also feature in the ADHX 45. 
This full-custom ADHX 45 is special, as it features the Gloss Cobalt colorway, not officially listed as available on the ADHX 45. TIME was able to accommodate this customer’s preference of the ADHX-only color option for their ADHX 45, making it somewhat of a one-of-a-kind example. In addition to its striking color, the Gloss Cobalt finish lets the frame’s carbon weave show through under the blue and high-gloss top coat. This bike catches the eye on many levels, and there’s no missing the high-end materials and craftsmanship present in this, and every TIME frame. 
This ADHX 45 is more than just a beautiful face, having been built out for a solid level of off-road adventure. A Shimano GRX Di2 2x11 drivetrain anchors the build, utilizing 48/31t chainrings along with a Shimano HG-800 11-34t cassette. DT Swiss 1400 ERC carbon wheels are wrapped in 700 x 38mm Rene Herse Barlow Pass Extralight tires, and the cockpit starts out with a 42cm Easton EC70 AX road bar. A matching Easton EC70 seatpost supports a Fizik Antares Adaptive R3 saddle, the integrated brake lines and Di2 wires route through a 100mm Deda Superbox stem. Shimano XT M800-S 160mm rotors complete the brakes, and the entire package is finished off with 2.5mm Sky Blue Lizard Skins DSP V2 bar tape and a pair of gloss-finished Contender carbon bottle cages.
