We've Gone Plum Crazy For This Orbea Oiz
As we've mentioned already, the Orbea Oiz OMR cross-country mountain bike is one of Contender's Most Anticipated bikes of 2019. Fortunately for us, they've just started to trickle in, each one more unique than the next. And though we always find a way love all bikes equally (much like children), there are some that deserve a little more attention than the rest. This custom MyO Orbea Oiz happens to be one of those bike, gone plum crazy like a 70's muscle car. What we've wanted to say about the 2019 Orbea Oiz is already said in our review (link HERE). Long story short, it's light, smooth, and features serious customization. Oiz does double duty as a hard-edged 100mm XC bike or a quick 120mm trail bike. Orbea has done quite a bit to make the Oiz as efficient as possible, not just on the trail, but in it's design and overall looks. What makes this Oiz XC particularly interesting is how far down the rabbit hole the owner has gone to set this bike apart from the pack. Once again we've gone thru Orbea's MyO customization program to get a wide range of colors, details, and even YOUR NAME on the seatstays. Not only does this particular Oiz features a beautiful purple and fuscia gloss coat that few other companies would dare offer, but they've also fitted chunkier-than-XC tires, wider bars, and a dropper seatpost. We find that because most racey XC bikes come without a dropper post, riders have made a habit of swapping to a dropper before their first ride. It's rad to see Orbea offer this option from the start, when most people want it. Here's the details: Fox Factory DPS custom shock and Fox 32 Float SC Factory 100 mm fork. Also on the bike is a gold SRAM XX1 Eagle drivetrain, which pairs to a SRAM Level Ultimate brake setup in holy matrimony. This bike also has a Mavic Crossmax Pro Carbon wheelset, FSA K-Force Flat carbon handlebars, and a Selle Italia X-LR Kit Carbonio S saddle. Have any questions about the 2019 Orbea Oiz?
