Flying Dog
If you enjoy stand climbing, then this ride is for you. There are essentially three really good loops that can be made out of this. Flying Dog Trail is very well-planned and expertly constructed. Early to intermediate riders will love this trail, but experts will also. The shortest route is a 10-mile ride with 1500 vertical feet elevation change, but even the shortest ride features a five-mile descent through forest cover. As long as you take your time, the climb is well worth the descent through bermed turns, and your choice of jumps and rollers.
The climb up Flying Dog is exposed and south-facing, meaning the loop is best to ride in the mornings and evenings. Be sure to watch for snow cover at the start of the season, but it should be clear from the mid-May to the end of October.
