Wolf Creek Pass
The Wolf Creek Pass road bike ride is largely available only during late Spring, Summer, and early Fall. The peak, at 9,500 feet, is among the highest mountain passes in Utah. It features a steady climb, significant temperature changes as the elevation climbs, and a fair bit of roadside snow late into Spring.
The ride to Wolf Creek Pass follows the parts of the Provo River, which, alongside the elevation change, keeps the ride on the cooler side. While it is a highway, the road has very minimal traffic during weekdays, and only slightly more on the weekends. You will pass by a number of campgrounds, trailheads, forest roads, and summer homes as you ride along the highway.
