With its Fox Float X shock and onboard Ramp Adjust control, this bike is engineered to ensure you descend mountains with both speed and precision. For those who demand the highest level of performance, the SCOTT Genius ST 900 Tuned stands as the pinnacle of the line, embodying the most refined 'Tuned' version available.
At the core of the SCOTT Genius is its Integrated Suspension Technology—a sophisticated system that conceals the rear suspension within the frame. Indeed, the shock is hidden INSIDE the frame, a design choice that optimizes the bike’s performance. SCOTT has integrated a built-in sag indicator on the non-drive side of the bike’s rocker link, which aids in setting the perfect suspension sag. This innovative design lowers the bike’s center of gravity, contributing to improved handling and stability. Additionally, mounting the shock lower enhances frame stiffness around the bottom bracket, increasing rigidity without adding extra weight.
Accessing the shock is straightforward thanks to a downtube door that opens with the push of a button, which also provides robust protection for the bottom bracket. This practical feature simplifies maintenance and adjustments while ensuring the bike’s durability.
The Genius ST model employs a Fox Float X shock, moving away from SCOTT’s typical TwinLoc suspension remote system. Instead, it features a lever that adjusts the shock’s progression. You can set the shock to ‘Descend’ mode for a plush rear end that keeps your tire firmly glued to the ground. Alternatively, the ‘Ramp Control’ setting is ideal for flow trails with compressions, berms, and drops, offering a quick adjustment similar to changing a volume spacer.
